The King George IV State Diadem, was made in 1820 for the coronation of … well, King George IV. This huge and heavy diadem includes 1333 (!) diamonds and 169 pearls. The diadem was worn at the coronation of both Queen Victoria in 1838 and Queen Elizabeth II’s in 1953. Her Majesty wears the diadem every year for the State Opening of the Parliament.
